This work focuses on information-seeking behaviour. It looks at information need as it is the prediction factor to information seeking. The concepts of information-seeking behaviour and information search behaviour are discussed. This paper is qualitative utilising the library research method. Some models of information seeking behaviour were also discussed. The paper concludes that identifying the information need of an individual/group, and the application of ideal model information-seeking behaviour process, will help library and information professional as well as information seeker/users in the identification, retrieval and utilisation of needed information.
